Pricing

One subscription. Everything in the app. No second tier to be nudged towards.

One thing to buy, and it is all of it: unlimited meals, unlimited photos, the coach, the widget, the memory, every language, ... No credits, no "pro" analysis, no monthly allowance of photographs that runs out on the 20th.

The Snapkin subscribe screen: one subscription with everything included, a note that billing runs through the App Store and Google Play, and a Subscribe button.
The paywall, in full

The two subscriptions

Monthly €14.99 per month

Three days free, then €14.99 a month. It converts automatically unless you cancel, which you can do in the store from the moment you start. This is the one to take if you are not sure yet: three days is enough to log a normal week's worth of awkward meals and find out whether you keep doing it.

Yearly €99.99 per year about €8.33 a month

Charged up front, and it works out cheaper. No trial on this one, because it is the plan for somebody who has already decided. If that is not you yet, take the monthly and switch later. The store handles the change and nothing in the app is lost.

Both plans include

  • Unlimited meals and unlimited photos per meal
  • The questions, the corrections and the meal chat
  • Everything it learns about your kitchen, and the screen to edit it
  • The protein and added sugar targets, and the iPhone Home Screen widget
  • The coach, the meal library and the weight history
  • All ten languages

The store takes the money, not us

Sounds like a detail. It decides what you can do about any of this later, and who you have to ask.

You are charged in your own currency, with your own tax.

The App Store and Google Play show you the exact figure, converted and taxed for your country, before you confirm. The prices on this page are the euro shop window and not the number you will be billed.

You cancel in the store, not by asking us.

Two taps in your subscription settings, any time, and it runs to the end of the period you paid for. There is no retention flow, no "are you sure", and nobody to email.

A declined card does not lock you out on the spot.

The stores retry for a while and so does the app: you keep your access through the grace period rather than losing your day's meals because a card expired.

Refunds go through the store too.

Apple and Google own that decision and have their own process for it. We cannot approve one and we cannot block one.

Three things to know before you pay

  • 1. There is no free tier, and there will not be one. Every meal you photograph costs real money to analyse. A free tier would either be too small to tell you anything or paid for by the people who subscribe, and both of those are worse than a price on a page.
  • 2. The Home Screen widget is iPhone only. There is no Android home screen widget yet. Everything else is the same app on both. If the widget is what sold you and you are on Android, that is the one thing you will not get.
  • 3. You probably do not need this forever. Most people want it for a few months, until they can look at a plate and call the number themselves. That is the app having worked. Strange thing for a subscription business to put on its own pricing page, and here it is anyway.
Not forever

You need this for a few months, not for the rest of your life.

The goal was never to log every meal until you die. It is to find out what your food actually costs you, in calories and in protein, until you can call it yourself.

Week 1 to 2

Everything is a surprise

The oil in the pan was 300 kcal. The salad beat the burger. The meal you were sure was loaded with protein had 18 grams in it. Most of what you learn early, you learn by being wrong.

Month 1 to 2

You start guessing right

You photograph the plate and you have already called the number before the app answers. The gap between your guess and the estimate closes, meal after meal.

After that

You just know

You can look at a plate and land close without thinking about it, and you know which meals get you to your protein without doing the sums. That part stays with you when the app is closed.

Drifting away from it is the point. Stay if you like the numbers, plenty of people do. But if you stop opening it after a few months because you no longer need it, that is the app having worked, not you having failed. When life goes sideways and you want to recalibrate, it is still here, with every meal you already logged.

Three days is enough to find out.

Take the monthly, photograph a week of ordinary meals, and see whether you are still doing it on Thursday. That is the only test that has ever predicted anything.

€14.99 a month or €99.99 a year, billed by the store, cancel there any time.

one subscription, no free tier, no upsells later.
