Delete your account
Last updated 3 September 2026.
You can delete your Snapkin account yourself, from inside the app, without asking anybody and without explaining why. It is immediate and it is not reversible.
From inside the app
- Open Snapkin and go to Menu → Profile.
- At the bottom, choose Delete your account.
- Type your email address to confirm, and your password if you have one set. That step exists so a borrowed phone cannot delete your account for you.
What gets deleted
Everything the account holds, not a flag on a row that stays behind:
- Your profile: name, email address, password, and your body details.
- Every meal, every ingredient, every question and answer, and every message about a meal.
- Every meal photograph, deleted from storage rather than orphaned.
- Your entire weight history.
- Everything the app had learned about how you eat.
- Your coach conversations.
- Your signed-in devices.
- Any Withings connection, and the tokens behind it.
- If you signed in with Apple, the grant is handed back to Apple as part of the deletion.
The only thing that can outlive the account is the record of a transaction where accounting law requires it to be kept. That is the payment, not your food.
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Apple and Google hold the subscription, so it has to be cancelled where you bought it, in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Do that first, or you will keep being charged for an account that no longer exists.
If you cannot get into the app
Email [email protected] from the address on the account, with “Account deletion request” as the subject. We will verify it is you, delete the account, and confirm when it is done, within 30 days and normally much sooner.
Just want your data out first?
Ask at the same address before you delete, and you will get a copy of what the account holds. See the privacy policy for the full list and for your other rights.
