Is Snapkin a good alternative to Cal AI?

Yes, if you would rather take a photo than search a food list. Snapkin works out the portion. It asks about what it cannot see. It shows how sure it is.

Is Cal AI accurate?

Cal AI says it is "about 80%" accurate. In a test by US government scientists (NIH), it missed 345 kcal per meal on average. MyFitnessPal and Lose It! were close to that. Most of the missing calories were fat. Other scientists have not checked that test yet. Snapkin was not in it.

Is Snapkin free?

No. The monthly plan starts with 3 free days. Then it is €9.99 a month, or €99.99 a year. You get Snapkin in the App Store or on Google Play. There is no free version.
